UTI and Cystitis Relief Resources

This is going to be hard to believe because nobody's talking about it. If anything, you've been reassured that this is not the reason for your symptoms (I was, and I let myself believe the medical gaslighting for 18 long months before making this connection on my own).
UTI and interstitial cystitis are both symptoms of hormone imbalance.
And, when you fix the underlying hormone imbalance, these symptoms fall away. I struggled with chronic UTI symptoms for 18 months, and it started when I stopped hormonal birth control. I saw many doctors and specialists over that time (holistic practitioners, TCM and Ayurveda gurus, urologists, and ultimately fell down the rabbit hole chasing microinfections aka embedded infections).
Doctors were throwing around the diagnosis of interstitial cystitis fast and loose... this is a diagnosis common for women who've struggled with chronic UTI symptoms for a while, a kind of black hole full of miserable symptoms and invasive procedures that offer only temporary relief.
Making the connection between my symptoms and hormone imbalance happened by accident. When I made that discovery and made the necessary changes to rebalance my hormones, the UTI symptoms fell away quickly.
And, I was hopping mad! Women are needlessly suffering from these symptoms when there's a very real reason for it, one their doctors are assuring them is not remotely connected, and I know all this because I let myself be gaslighted as well.
In my job as a pharmaceutical research scientist, I've worked around many solvents including acetone, so I know what ketones smell like. I've also read Andromeda Strain and was raised by a registered nurse, so I know about ketoacidosis. And, yet, when I mentioned "is it possible I've got an insulin problem? Is it possible my weird smelling pee is due to ketones in my urine?" to the countless healthcare practitioners I saw over that time, I was reassured every. single. time. there's no connection.
So, when I couldn't find a connection using whatever Google searches I was doing back then, I chalked it up to them being right... there's no connection. Turns out, there is. Turns out, I needed to change the keyword search.
Once I found relief myself, it wasn't enough. I started researching that connection between UTI symptoms, insulin resistance, and reproductive hormones.
And, I started writing about what I found in the online journal Hormones Matter. I started writing about it in blog posts and talking about it in my podcast and YouTube videos, and now you have the list of those resources right here at your fingertips.
This list is not comprehensive and it's not up to date. The best way to get more of this is to get on my email list and in case you're beyond ready to break free of these symptoms for yourself, the absolute best way to do that is start 14 days to UTI freedom, it's available to you whenever you're ready.
Here's to your UTI free life!
